SENATE BILL NO. 177 "An Act relating to cost-of-living benefits for                                 
retired members in the public employees' retirement system and the                                  
teachers' retirement system who are called to active military duty; and                             
providing for an effective date" was read the second time.                                          
                                                                                                    
Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill                                 
be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final                              
passage. Senator Ellis objected.                                                                    
                                                                                                    
Senators Taylor, Green, Wilken, Bunde, Cowdery, Dyson, Gary                                         
Stevens, Wagoner, Seekins, Elton, Therriault, Olson, moved and asked                                
unanimous consent to be shown as cosponsors on the bill. Without                                    
objection, it was so ordered.                                                                       
                                                                                                    
President Therriault stated SENATE BILL NO. 177 will be on the                                      
May 8 calendar.
